After the approval the allowance Rs 1400 will be given to all class of employees, including sweepers engaged in cleaning of underground drains, sewer lines and those working in trenching grounds and infectious diseases hospitals and dispensaries.

Earlier, the NDMC & Karamchari Bachao Morcha demanded the early release of revised patient care allowance, DPC, ACP, LTC advance, MTC scale.

The union president, Mr Ompal Singh Lore, alleged that it was not being given to them since 1992. He further said that if their demands were not met at the earliest, they would be forced to intensify the agitation and the routine work of the hospital would suffer.
