SkyEc Drugs organises mega vaccination drive on World Rabies Day

With an aim to support the global vision of the World Health Organisation on Rabies, Indian Multinational Pharmaceuticals Company, SkyEc Drugs recently organised and participated in the World Rabies Day campaign.
The campaign was organized across India i.e from Kashmir to Kanayamuri and from Gujarat to North East. Having covered 60 locations, the Rabies vaccination campaign held on September 28 was an eye-opener.
Approximately, 59,000 deaths are caused by rabies every year, according to the Centre for Disease Control.
Rabies is a viral disease and leads to one death every 15 minutes across the globe and 4 out of 10 fatalities include children. Dogs, being the prime source of Rabies, contribute up to 99% of all rabies transmissions to humans. This is a matter of concern and needs immediate attention.
Thus, the Pharma Company stepped forward and actively supported the global vision of the global health body in progressing towards Zero human fatality from dog-mediated rabies by 2030.
