Dr. Reddy starts selling generic Clofarabine Injection in U.S market

Hyderabad: Dr Reddy’s Laboratories has launched Clofarabine injection, a therapeutic and generic equivalent of Clolar injection, in the US market after approved by the U.S. Food & Drugs Administration.

Clolar is a registered trademark of Genzyme Corporation.

The Clolar brand and generic had US sales of approximately $53 million for the 12 months ended September 2017, said IMS Health in a release issued on November 14, 2017.

The injection is indicated for treating a particular type of cancer, among other prescribed uses.

The injection is available in single-dose, 20 mL flint vials containing 20mg of clofarabine in 20 mL of solution (1mg/mL).
