ACG Engineering of ACG Group has won the Red Dot Design Award-2018, for designing the concept of the automatic 100% capsule checkweigher. ACG Group offers integrated manufacturing solutions for the pharmaceutical industry.

Capsule checkweigher is designed for precise, automatic and continuous weighing of a hard capsule in partially-filled and an empty state. It can weigh any size of capsule without the need to change parts. It offers an output of up to 200,000 capsules/hour.

The machine is equipped with an automatic de-jamming mechanism that ensures constant product flow without any blockage. The machine has a calibration kit for optimized calibration of load cell/weigh cell.

ACG’s capsule checkweigher is easy to use and features an integrated electromagnetic force restoration weigh cell which utilizes latest digital technologies to make sure that the results of measurement are accurate with highest quality.

In 2018, the competition received a total of 5,640 entries from 55 countries. Upon conclusion of adjudication, Red Dot was awarded to 265 design concepts.
