Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s announcement to increase India’s health spending from 1.15% to 2.5% of GDP by 2025 has been hailed by Ms Suneeta Reddy, MD, Apollo Hospitals.

Ms Reddy has said that increasing the budget on healthcare is a visionary plan of PM Modi and it will help improve healthcare services in India  

Ms Reddy said, “The plan to increase health spending to 2.5% of GDP is a visionary move by the PM that will enable the successful implementation of Ayushman Bharat. With India taking its pride of place in the global economy. It also needs to take care of the health of the nation”

Ms Reddy added, “ I am confident that both public and private health providers will put their best efforts to enhance the quality of life for the citizens of India.”
