HYDERABAD : Hyderabad-based pharma major Dr. Reddy's Laboratories has announced the launch of generic Ramelteon tablets, 8 mg, a therapeutically equivalent generic version of Rozerem tablets, in the US market on July 23.
The company has launched Ramelteon tablets after getting approval by the United States Food and Drug Administration (USFDA), Dr Reddy's said in a statement.
The tablets are used to treat insomnia associated with having trouble falling asleep. The tablets are available as 8 mg tablets in bottle count sizes of 30, 100, and 1000.
According to IQVIA health data, the medication has a projected market size of US$91.3 million in the 12-month period ending May 2019 in the US markets, it added.
