Delhi: Just two dengue deaths in 2019

NEW DELHI: The South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) has reported only two dengue deaths till December last year.
SDMC is the nodal agency for collecting reports for dengue, malaria and chikungunya cases in the national capital of India.
“A seven-year-old girl was declared the first dengue death on November 3 by Kalawati Saran Hospital and the death of a 21-year-old man was reported by AIIMS-Delhi,” said the SDMC report.
The report shows that till November last year, 1,644 dengue cases were reported. While 2,798 cases and four deaths were reported in 2018 and 4,726 cases and 10 deaths took place in 2017.
