A senior official from the Health Department of Surat Municipal Corporation has informed the media that cases of COVID have risen in the last 10 days due to lack of appropriate COVID behavior.

Deputy Commissioner Health from Surat Municipal Corporation said that a total of 26 people including five school children have tested COVID positive in October.

“In the last ten days, we witnessed new cases as the public did not follow COVID appropriate behavior during Ganesh Utsav. Testing is being done at some schools and coaching classes,” he added.
