Remaining unvaccinated against the COVID19 pandemic has proved deadlier for people. Doctors have been stressing for long that vaccines protect from severe disease and hospitalisations.
In Delhi, 75% of patients who died of COVID in the recent past were unvaccinated, Delhi Health Minister Satyendra Jain informed the media on January 14, 2022.
The minister hinted that adequate COVID beds are available in the city to handle any surge of COVID cases.
“Delhi reported 28867 COVID cases yesterday. Today, the national capital is expected to record less than 25000 cases. 75% of the COVID patients who died in the recent past were unvaccinated. More than 1300 beds (88%) are available,” he added.
