Delhi Govt. Starts Helpline for Complaints if Free Medicines Unavailable

New Delhi: The Delhi government on Wednesday issued a helpline phone number for lodging complaints if free medicines are not available in Delhi government hospitals.
On the third day of issuing free medicines, to maintain a swift flow of the free medicines in the hospitals, the Delhi Government introduced the helpline number to register complaints if free medicines are not available in the Delhi government hospitals. Complaints are to be registered by an SMS on the number: +9187450511
Earlier, the Arvind Kejriwal-government had announced that medicines and tests will be available free of cost for all patients from 1st February, 2016, onwards at the Delhi Government Hospitals.
The Chief Minister of Delhi had said, “All medicines and tests will be available free of cost for all in the Delhi Government hospitals. Although we can’t say that all machines are working properly in the hospitals. Hence, in the coming months we seek to repair them as soon as we can. We have given a list of items which will be available in the hospitals free of costs.”
