NEW DELHI: Doctors at the RML Hospital, New Delhi, have called upon people to step up mosquito elimination so as to tackle the menace of dengue. They were speaking at a National Dengue Day event organized by the Microbiology Department of the Hospital. The function was graced by the HoD Microbiology Department, Prof Nandini Duggal, as the Chief Guest.

Testing for vector borne disease is completely free at RML Hospital, Delhi.  

Prof Duggal emphasized that dengue diagnosis is no cause for panic and people should report to the hospital in the situation of severe dengue.

Dr R. K.  Mahajan, Consultant and Professor, gave an overview of issues associated with vector breeding, early identification signals of dengue infection, precautions in self medication. He stressed the significance of laboratory testing in all suspected cases of dengue and chikungunya.
