Bollywood superstar Deepika Padukone has come forward to donate Rs. 15 lakh to an acid attack survivor, Bala Prajapati, who was also her co-star in the 2020 film ‘Chhapaak’.

The actor donated the money as Bala needed to undergo a kidney transplant, which was estimated to cost Rs. 16 lakh in total.

The ‘Bajirao Mastani’ actor in no time donated 90 per cent amount for the treatment.

The donation was made to the Chhaanv Foundation that started the online crowdsourcing drive to collect the money.

The actor came forward after learning about Bala’s condition and donated Rs. 15 lakh in 2 different transactions, said Ashish Kumar from Chhaanv Foundation.

Meanwhile, on the movie front, Deepika has recently signed her second Hollywood film, a cross-cultural romantic comedy, the title of which has not been revealed as of now.
