Singapore: 300 staff vacate bank, colleague had coronavirus

There was panic among employees at a branch of DBS Bank in Singapore when one of their colleagues tested positive for coronavirus. On February 12, 2020, a bank staffer was found positive for the virus. This created panic among 300 employees and they vacated the entire premises.

The bank administration directed all the employees to work from home as a precautionary measure. It is learned that after China, Singapore has the largest number of patients of coronavirus. According to a report, Singapore has reported fifty cases of the virus.

The bank is located on the eighth floor of the Marina Bay Financial Centre (MBFC). MBFC is a mixed-use development located along Marina Boulevard and Central Boulevard at the Downtown Core of Singapore.
