WHO head to self quarantine after contact with Covid+

Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO) Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus will quarantine himself after coming in contact of Covid positive person. This information has been shared by him through his Twitter handle. The WHO DG so far has exhibited no symptoms of the disease. Like many, he has decided to work from home for the United Nations agency.

“I have been identified as a contact of someone who has tested positive of Covid 19. I am well and without symptoms but will self-quarantine over the coming days, in line with WHO protocols and work from home,” tweeted Dr Ghebreyesus.

"It is critically important that we all comply with health guidance. This is how we will break chains of Covid transmission, suppress the virus and protect health systems. My WHO colleagues and I will continue to engage with partners in solidarity to save lives and protect the vulnerable," added Dr Ghebreyesus.a
