Dec 2: The UK government has approved the use of Pfizer-BioNTech Covid 19 vaccine for public use from next week to prevent Covid which has killed and infected millions across the globe.

The UK government has approved the vaccine for use after considering the recommendations from Britain’s’ Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency.

A Department of Health and Social Care spokesperson, Britain, said, “The Joint Committee on Vaccinations and Immunizations will shortly publish its final advice for the priority groups including care home residents, health and care staff, the elderly and the clinically extremely vulnerable to receive the vaccine.”

He further said that the vaccine will be available for public across the UK from next week. The National Health Services (NHS) has decades of experience in delivering large scale vaccination programs and will begin putting their extensive preparations into action to provide care and support to all those eligible for vaccination, he added.

“To aid the success of the vaccination program, it is vital everyone continues to play their part and abide by the necessary restrictions in their area so we can further suppress the virus and allow the NHS to do its work without being overwhelmed,” explained the spokesperson.
