AIIMS-Delhi conducting free tests of lungs

Individuals wishing to know the strength and state of their lungs can get a free check up of their lungs atthe  All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Delhi. The examination of the lungs is conducted by Department of Physiology at Respiratory Research Laboratory on sixth floor of the Convergence Block of the institute.

These tests are part of a project to know the effects of air pollution on the lungs of healthy individuals. The tests are done as part of a project named “Asthmatic effects of pollution on healthy subjects”.

The tests began a fortnight ago. The project includes some tests to know the effects of air pollution in poor to severe air pollution conditions and normal weather conditions.

Under the project, different samples are collected from patients or healthy individuals. These samples will be tested to know the strength of the lungs and their report will be made available to the patients.

The department has also issued mobile number 8447755986 on which patients or normal healthy persons can contact for the lung test.
