The Indian cabinet has approved a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between India's Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO) and the Saudi Food and Drug Authority for medical products regulation.

The MoU would facilitate better understanding of the regulatory aspects between India and Saudi Arabia and help in increasing India’s exports of medical products to Saudi Arabia. It will also enable better coordination in international fora.

The MoU was signed on October 29, 2019, during the visit of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Saudi Arabia.
