Mumbai: Wockhardt docs to play cricket to rejuvenate

Doctors of Wockhardt Hospitals, Mumbai Central, will play cricket to rejuvenate themselves and have a break from their erratic schedules.

According to Wockhardt, the hospital has come up with a unique initiative for helping doctors take some time from their busy schedule by organizing a cricket tournament for them.

Around 350 doctors in 24 teams will vie for the trophy that was unveiled in the presence of Ms. Zahabiya Khorakiwala, Managing Director, Wockhardt Hospitals.

Dr. Parag Rindani, Centre Head at Wockhardt Hospital, South Bombay, says: “To help doctors de-stress, have fun and enjoy, this unique initiative by the hospital can do the trick. The doctors will be able to take time for cricket, come together, enhance their fitness levels, build new relationships, strengthen bonds, and stay happy and calm. This cricket tournament will be a stress-buster for the doctors.”

Ms. Zahabiya Khorakiwala, says: “Wockhardt Hospitals ensures that it comes up with unique initiatives, camps or drives not only for the patients but for the welfare of the doctors too. The hospital is determined to work towards the betterment of the doctors. It is the need of the hour for doctors to take charge of their health.”
