Haryana approves Govt. Medical College in Jind

The Haryana Government has approved a government medical college to be built in three years in the Jind district of the state. The central government has given its approval for opening the medical college, informs Digvijay Singh Choutala, brother of Deputy Chief Minister of Haryana, Dushyant Choutala.

A statement issued by the Additional Chief Secretary, Medical Education and Research Department, Haryana, reads that administrative approval is accorded with estimated cost of Rs 663.86 crore (phase 1 Rs 524.23 crore and for phase 2 rs 139.63 crore ) for construction of Government Medical College, Jind to be completed in about three years.

Digvijay Choutala said that approval to open the college was given by the central government within seven days after it was announced by Dushyant Choutala.

Sharing the statement on Facebook, he stated that the medical college will help in treatment of lakhs of people living in and around Jind.
