As per the Indian Health Ministry data released in the morning on June 2, 2020, as many as 8171 corona cases were reported across the country in the last twenty four hours, taking the total number of cases in India so far to 198706.

The country also reported 204 deaths in the last twenty four hours, taking the total number of deaths due to the virus to 5598 so far. 95527 out of 198706 people have recovered from the virus while 97581 are active cases of the virus.
