The New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) on Friday constituted an eight member ‘Staff Welfare Cell’ for providing all necessary assistance in case of any requirement of Covid-19 positive employees.

As per the statement, the welfare cell includes Director (Welfare) as Nodal Officer, Assistant Labour Welfare Officer as Assistant Nodal Officer, PA to Director- Welfare, Senior Assistant, Head Assistant, Labour Welfare Supervisor and two Dy. Managers of Welfare Department of NDMC.

The Cell will provide all necessary assistance for proper medical treatment to Covid-19 positive employees of the civic body, it said.

All HODs of NDMC will provide details of such officers/officials who are found to be Covid19 positive or suspected Covid case to NDMC Staff Welfare Cell immediately in the prescribed Performa.

As per the statement, on getting the information, the Cell will immediately maintain data of the affected employees and one of the member will immediately contact the patient for facilitating     treatment including organizing testing, consultancy and hospitalization.
