Patna: No test for 100 docs exposed to corona positives

The Patna Medical College & Hospital has asked all its junior doctors to take prior permission for arranging duty before going into quarantine.
In an office order, the director of the college has said, “Doctors who had been exposed to a patient who later tested positive for the coronavirus, are directed to arrange his/her duty with the department head before proceeding for quarantine.”
Criticising the draconian order against junior doctors, the United Resident Doctors' Association-India has written to the authority asking for “urgent intervention” on issues faced by health workers treating coronavirus patients.
The letter claims that 100 resident doctors at the College, who had been exposed to the patients who later tested positive for the coronavirus, are “suspected of being positive” themselves.
Most of them started showing symptoms… After which all doctors went to the administration requesting whether they could quarantine themselves but they were denied permission.
The doctors alleged that they have neither been tested so far, nor have been quarantined.
