Prime Minister Narendra Modi has praised the cental and Delhi governments for containing corona in the national capital. He has said that measures which have been taken in Delhi to control the spread of the virus need to be taken in other states too so that the virus’ chain can be broken to prevent it’s further transmission.
The PM took stock of the corona situation in the country with Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Union Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan, members of Niti Aayog, Cabinet Secretary and other senior officials of the government.
He further stressed focus on preventive measures including hand hygiene, social distancing and mask wearing to contain the virus transmission. He said that awareness about corona should be disseminated widely and a continuous emphasis on preventing spread of the infection should be there. Modi warned that there is no room for any complacency in this regard.
It may be noted that corona cases had skyrocketed in Delhi and the situation was getting out of control at one point of time. However, collective efforts of all government authorities not only reduced the cases but also the number of deaths due to the virus.
