Union Health Ministry has appointed Dr Rana AK Singh as the new Medical Superintendent of Delhi’s Ram Manohar Lohiya Hospital. Dr Singh will take charge from after extension period of present Medical Superintendent Dr Meenakshi Bhardwaj ends on July 31, 2020.

Dr Singh, who heads the surgery department in the hospital, shall function as the officer-on-special duty in the hospital to understand and appreciate the nuances of administration of the hospital during the present situation from Dr Minakshi Bhardwaj.

“Dr Singh will also prepare a vision document and action plan during this period for positioning/developing Dr RML Hospital and Atal Behari Vajpayee Institute of Medical Sciences as a model and premier healthcare delivery and medical education institution in the country. He shall be required to give a presentation on these issues in due course,” reads the order issued by K Venkatesan, Under Secretary to Government of India.
