Addressing the media through video on July 15, 2020, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said: "Instead of being angry over reports and videos about poor state of Covid care in a Delhi hospital, we took course correction, took note of each mistake and improved it, due to which condition in the national capital on Covid has improved."
Kejriwal, however, stressed that there is no need to be complacent, instead we should be cautious and take preventive measures such as regular hand washing, mask wearing, face covering and social distancing.
The Delhi CM pointed out that as per the Central government’s method, on July 15, 2020, which is today, corona virus cases in Delhi would have reached 2.25 lakh out which 1.34 lakh would have been active cases. But due to collective efforts of Delhities, doctors, nurses and corona warriors, the total number of cases of the virus could reach only 115346, out of which 18664 are active cases of the virus, he added.
Kejriwal also welcomed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s praise for Delhi model of Covid control. He pointed out that the foundation of this Delhi model is collectivity. "We found out where the problems were and we corrected them. It is all because of collective efforts of all, including all political parties and central government," he reiterated.
