India August 7: Corona infects 62,538, kills 886 in 24 hours

As per the Indian Health Ministry data released in the morning on August 7, 2020, cases of corona virus surged by 62,538 in the last 24 hours, recording the highest single-day spike in corona cases so far in the country. As many as 886 patients died of coronavirus in the past 24 hours, taking the total number of virus deaths in the country to 41585.
According to the data, total number of cases now stands at 2027075 including 607384 active cases, 1378106 recoveries and 41585 deaths.
