AP Govt. hikes stipend of interns, PG doctors

The Jaganmohan Reddy Government in Andhra Pradesh has enhanced the stipend to interns and PG doctors of medical and dental colleges following a long pending demand.

The government issued orders to this effect and accordingly the medical and dental interns will hereafter get Rs 19589 as against Rs 15817.

Similarly, PG degree doctors will get Rs 44075 as against Rs 35589 during their first year, Rs 46524 in second year and Rs 48973 in third year. PG diploma and MDS courses pursuing candidates will also get the same stipend.

Those doing their super specialty courses will get Rs 48973 in first year, Rs 51422 in the second year and Rs 53869 in the third year. The hike will be applied with effect from January 1, 2020.
