As per data from the Indian Health Ministry in the morning on September 23, 2020, cases of coronavirus spiked by 83,347 in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of cases to 5646011 so far.

According to the data, 1085 people succumbed to the virus in the past 24 hours. The total number of virus deaths in India has now reached 90020. Presently, 968377 are active cases and 4587614 have recovered from the virus.
