The Yogi Adityanath government in Uttar Pradesh is looking for volunteer doctors, nurses, pharmacists and lab technicians to fight the Covid-19 outbreak.
In a statement posted on the Directorate of Medical and Health Services (DMHS) website, the state government has appealed to retired government, Armed Forces Medical Services, public sector undertaking or private healthcare professionals to come forward and join the efforts of the government to fight the deadly virus.
Those who wish to contribute to this and be a part of this noble mission to serve the state may register themselves on a link provided on the official website of the DMHS.
The state government has requested doctors and other healthcare professionals who are fit and willing to provide their services in suitable public health facilities and the training hospitals in the near future. They will be provided with a suitable salary.
"We appeal to such doctors to come forward at this hour of need. You could also be a retired government, Armed Forces Medical Services, public sector undertaking or a private doctor," the statement said.
The state is facing an unprecedented public health emergency with the Covid-19 pandemic affecting many districts of the state.
