Delhi Oct. 1: Covid kills 40 in 24 hours

As per the Delhi State Health Bulletin released by the Delhi government in the evening on October 1, 2020, cases of coronavirus spiked by 3037 in the past 24 hours. Covid, the disease caused by the virus, killed 40 patients in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of cases of the virus to 282752.

250613 out of 282752 are active cases of the virus in the national capital.

As per the bulletin, Delhi government conducted 55423 tests including 9969 RT-PCR and 45454 antigen tests in the day in different designated hospitals, centers and dispensaries. The deaths due to the disease so far in Delhi have reached 5401.

The bulletin states that the case fatality rate in Delhi is 1.91% and the positivity rate of cases per 100 tests is 5.48.
