A ban has been imposed on chicken products in large parts of Delhi and restaurants in these areas will not be serving chicken and dishes made with eggs. This has been done in view of the confirmation of bird flu in Delhi.

This has happened as the North Delhi Municipal Corporation and South Delhi Municipal Corporation have imposed a ban on sale, purchase, processing and packaging of chicken in the area under their jurisdiction. This ban has been imposed on January 13, 2021, with immediate effect.
