As per the Indian Health Ministry data in the morning on January 16, 2021, cases of coronavirus increased by 15158 in the past 24 hours, taking the total number of cases to 10542841 so far across the country.

As per the data, the virus killed 175 people in the past 24 hours, taking the total number of deaths to 152093 so far. The total number of active cases of the virus is now down to just 152093. The total number of recoveries has reached 10179715.
