In a great development on the corona front in India, active cases of the virus in the country have further come down to just 173740. And the total number of recoveries has increased to 10373606.

As per the Indian Health Ministry data on January 28, 2021, a total of just 11666 cases were reported in the past 24 hours, taking the total number of cases of the virus so far to 10701193.

Covid, the disease triggered by the virus, killed 123 people in the past 24 hours, taking the total number of fatalities to 153847 thus far across the country.
