Asymptomatic cases of coronavirus are once again causing a surge in Mumbai, which had been the epicenter of the virus spread in 2020. Over 80% of Covid cases are now asymptomatic in Mumbai. This has been shared by Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation Chief Mr IS Chahal.

Speaking to the media, Mr Chahal has directed Mumbai's private hospitals not to admit any asymptomatic patients.

Cases of corona have also increased in Dharavi (Asia's largest slum). The state government has reiterated its appeal to people of adopting Covid appropriate behaviour.

It may be noted that cases of coronavirus have increased in the entire Maharashtra. Some districts of the state have imposed night curfew to prevent the virus spread.

The central government has rushed teams of experts to check the spread and help the authorities to curb further transmission of the disease, which was under control 10 days ago.
