India has recorded a significant increase in corona cases.

As per the Indian Health Ministry data on March 6, 2021, a total of 18327 cases were recorded in the past 24 hours, an increase of 1489 cases over what was reported the previous day. With this, the country now has 180304 active cases.

According to ICMR, a total of 751935 Covid tests were conducted in the past 24 hours across India.

However, corona deaths have not increased. As per the data, 108 deaths were reported on March 6 for the previous 24 hours, four fewer than deaths reported on March 5, 2021.

The total number of corona cases in India thus far is 11192088, out of which 10854128 have recovered. The death toll is 157656.
