Speaking at the first graduation day of ESIC Medical College, Faridabad, Haryana, Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu urged the graduating doctors to keep values and ethics first in the service of patients.
He stressed that graduating doctors should show compassion and a caring attitude towards patients, especially those who are poor and oppressed.
The Vice President lauded the efforts of the entire medical fraternity -- from doctors to nurses, para-medical staff, sanitary workers and technicians to ASHA workers in villages -- for their fight against Covid-19.
Naidu also lauded the Indian healthcare industry for ramping up production of essential items such as PPE kits, surgical gloves, face masks, ventilators and vaccines.
