The Uttar Pradesh government has imposed night curfew in Lucknow, Varanasi, Kanpur, Prayagraj and Noida to prevent transmission of corona in the districts and other parts of the state. These cities have reported an increased virus spread. The curfew will come into effect from the night of April 8 and last till April 16, 2021.
Essential services will continue to operate during the curfew. Parks in Lucknow will only remain open from 7 am to 10 am and from 4 pm to 8 pm. Special focus will be on social distancing and mask wearing, while the entry of people above 65 years of age and children below 10 years will be prohibited.
The country is facing the wrath of the second wave of coronavirus which is said to be more infectious but less fatal as compared to the first wave. Doctors have again stressed Covid appropriate behavior to prevent the virus spread. They say that Covid appropriate behaviour is the only key to break the chain of transmission of the virus.
