Union Minister for Minority Affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi on August 9, 2021, told the Parliament that the ministry is reaching out to people through various organisations such as state Waqf Boards, State Haj committees, state channelising agencies and program implementing agencies to end COVID vaccine hesitancy among people.

In a written reply to the house, Naqvi stated that the ministry has organised an awareness campaign “Jaan Hai To Jahaan Hai” to end the vaccine hesitancy.

“In addition to the above, the ministry has also utilized the social media platforms to spread awareness on vaccination through various renowned personalities from the field of social, cultural and religion as influencers. No separate funds have been released for the campaign,” he added.
