UP: 32 districts report zero active COVID-19 cases

Thirty-two districts in the most populous state have witnessed zero active cases of COVID-19, an official statement by the Chief Minister Office informed on September 14, 2021.

While in the past 24 hours, only 16 districts have recorded 33 new COVID-19 infections, the statement added.

The thirty-two districts include—Aligarh, Amroha, Ayodhya, Baliya, Balrampur, Banda, Basti, Bahraich, Bhadohi, Bijnor, Bulandshahr, Chandauli, Chitrakoot, Etah, Fatehpur, Gonda, Hamirpur, Hardoi, Hathras, Kanpur, Kasganj, Mahoba, Muradabad, Pilibheet, Pratapgarh, Rampur, Saharanpur, Shamli, Shravasti, Siddharth Nagar, Sultanpur, and Sonbhadra.

After testing 1, 91,446 samples in the past 24 hours, 33 new patients were confirmed positive in the 16 districts, the statement said.

The statement also informed that the 60 districts have not recorded any new infections in the past 24 hours.

The state has reported twenty-five recoveries in the last 24 hours taking the total recoveries to 16, 86,522, the statement informed.

In Uttar Pradesh, more than 7 crore people have received the first shot of COVID-19 vaccination, till September 13, 2021, which is the highest number of vaccines administered in any state.

The most populous states are conducting 2 lakh to 2.5 lakh tests every day and the total number of tests done so far is 7, 53, 18,532 (over 7 crores).

The case positivity rate has dropped to 0.01 per cent, while the recovery rate currently stands at 98.7 per cent.
