COVID-19: Karnataka allows 100% occupancy in cinemas, auditoriums from Oct 1

Cinema halls and auditoriums in Karnataka will be permitted to operate at full capacity from October 1, 2021, almost months after being run at half capacity due to the coronavirus pandemic, the state government informed on September 25. 2021.

The order by the state government directed the cinema halls, auditoriums to function from October 1 with 100 per cent capacity while adhering to the protocols of the pandemic.

The guidelines instructed a minimum of one shot of the COVID-19 vaccine along with other social distancing norms.

Pubs have also been allowed to function from October 3.

A total of 789 new infections of coronavirus, 23 fatalities, and 1,050 recoveries were recorded in Karnataka in the past 24 hours, the state’s health department said on September 24, 2021.
