The newly created Economically Weaker Sections (EWS)  scheme of the Union Government has benefited MBBS seat aspirants in Andhra Pradesh. The Center has allocated to the state 360 MBBS seats under the EWS quota. These seats have been allotted to the government medical colleges of the state.

Keeping the allocation of the seats in mind, the NTR university of health sciences has decided to fill up the seats through a centralised counseling process. The seats will be filled up through the NEET (National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test )-2019  qualified candidates. The  state government has already issued orders to fill up the newly sanctioned seats under the EWS quota.

The university authorities conducted the first phase of counseling without taking the EWS quota seats into consideration a couple of days back as the state government didn’t issue orders in the matter. The seats will be filled up by giving web options to the Medical Seat aspirants.
