Indian doctor to train US students in radiology

NEW DELHI : For the first time, a doctor from Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi, from the field of radiology, has been appointed as an adjunct professor at a well-known university in the US, officials said.
"Dr T B S Buxi, Chairman, Department of CT & MRI of the Hospital, has been appointed Adjunct Professor of Imaging Sciences in the School of Medicine and Dentistry at University of Rochester, New York, US," the hospital said in a statement.
Dr Buxi was recently bestowed with NBE's 'Distinguished Teacher Award' 2018 by the Vice President of India, it said.
The doctor has been associated with the Ganga Ram Institute For Postgraduate Medical Education & Research as a faculty and has been involved in teaching and research in radiology for the last 35 years, the statement said.
Dr Buxi has also published numerous papers in national and international journals.
He will teach US students visiting Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi, and also visit Rochester University in US, it added.
