MAIDS: New building ready, will start dental treatment soon

Prof. (Dr.) Sangeeta Talwar, Director-Principal, Maulana Azad Institute of Dental Sciences (MAIDS), Delhi, has said that the  Phase II building of the institute is now complete and would open shortly. She has informed DTMT: “Soon new facility in the institute would augment the delivery of services."

Speaking at the Dental Health Utsav, Prof Talwar said, “Soon this new facility bring dental services closer to the people of Delhi without undergoing financial hardships and delays.”

She emphasized that many oral diseases are related to our lifestyle.

Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain said, “MAIDS should focus on creating further awareness in oral health so that more and more people utilize dental services.”

He said that the Mobile Dental Clinic services have been a boon for the people of Delhi. These are vital services that reach out to the needy in far flung and rural parts of Delhi.

Delhi Health Secretary Sanjeev Khirwar said, “The Dental Health Utsav is long time and successful initiative of MAIDS. The Institute should also organize multiple camps during the event with the help of faculty in different underserved areas of Delhi.”
