42% corona cases are 21-40 years old: Health Ministry

Corona virus is affecting youngsters in India in a big way.  Briefing the media on coronavirus, Mr Luv Aggrawal,  Joint Secretary, Union Health Ministry, informed that 42% cases of coronavirus have been reported in those from 21 to 40 years of age.  

'33% cases of the virus have been recorded in those between 41 to 60 years of age. 17% cases of the virus have reported in those above the age of 60 years," he added.

"Till now, we have found cases related to Tableeghi Jamaat from 17 states. 1023 corona virus positive cases have been found to be linked to this event. Out of the total cases in the country, around 30% are linked to one particular place, " informed Mr Aggareal.

"Till now, there are 2,902 corona virus  positive cases in India. 601 positive cases have been reported since yesterday. 12 deaths also reported yesterday taking total deaths to 68.  As many as 183 people have recovered/discharged," he added.
