On May 29, 2020, India reported 7466 new Covid cases in the last twenty four hours, recording the highest single day surge in cases so far in the country.

With this increase, the total number of cases so far is now 165799. As per the Indian Health Ministry data released in the morning on May 29, 2020, the total count of virus deaths is now 4706, with 175 deaths reported in the last twenty four hours.

As per the data, 71106 people have recovered from the virus. 89987 out of the 165799 are active cases of the virus.
