In a bid to cut the chain of transmission of coronavirus, the Uttar Pradesh Government has announced that the state will be put under a three-day strict lockdown again from 10 pm on Friday (July 10) to 5 am on Monday (July 13).
In a notification, Chief Secretary Rajendra Tiwari said that during the lockdown markets, haats, mandis and offices in all urban and rural areas will remain closed.
However, he said that the essential services and medical services will continue to ply. Train and flight services will also continue unrestricted, he added.
There will be no restriction on the movement of those involved in door-step delivery services either.
Uttar Pradesh Police has been instructed to ensure that people follow the fresh orders by the state government during the lockdown.
