As Delhi's daily corona cases remain steady around two thousand in recent days, deaths due to the disease are steadily falling day by day, giving rise to the hope that the decline in deaths will sustain in the coming days and give a relief to Delhities.

As per the Delhi government's daily corona bulletin, the number of corona cases fell from 2520 on July 3 to 2187 on July 9, 2020. This number was almost four thousand in mid June.

More significantly, Covid deaths continued to decline.

As per the data, the number of patients dying due to corona in Delhi, which used to be more than 70 a day not long ago, fell to 63 on July 5 and 45 on July 9, maintaing a continuous downward trend.

It may be noted that earlier in June, the deaths due to the Covid once reached 125 in a day, but the number fell to 45 on July 9, 2020. This presents the hope that Delhi is heading towards a much better situation. People see this as a good sign and fear fades from their minds.

The challenge was much bigger for the Delhi government and the center when people were dying due to lack of beds and bodies were piling up in mortuaries of hospitals. However, if we see the present situation, the city has recovered and improved appreciably to be able to handle the situation.
