Udaipur: Corona(-) certificate must for vendors from Aug 24

 BS RAWAT
Potential Coronavirus Super Spreaders in Udaipur, Rajasthan, are lining up at government hospitals seeking to be tested for Covid-19, saying the district authority insists they produce negative certificates if they want to do business.

The administration had categorised vegetable vendors, grocery and milk shop owners, petrol pump attendants, medical shop and garbage collectors as ‘super spreaders’, as the nature of their work puts them at risk of contracting and spreading Covid-19.

In an order, the Udaipur administration has asked all hospitals and health centers for screening of all super spreaders in the district by August 24.

From August 24, they will be allowed to do business only after producing Covid-19 negative certificates, the order stated.

The administration further said that all Covid-19 reports should be on the basis of the Microbiology Department of Rabindranath Tagore Medical College, Udaipur.
