As per the Indian Health Ministry data in the morning on October 22, 2020, corona cases increased by 55383 across India and 702 people succumbed to the disease in the past 24 hours.

As per the data, active cases decreased by 24272 in the past 24 hours, taking the total active case load to 715812. The country reported 79415 discharges in the 24 hours, taking the total number of recoveries to 6874518.

So far, 116616 people have died of the virus in the country.
