Delhi Health Minister Satyendra Jain has said that private hospitals in Delhi will have to charge as per government rates for 60% Covid beds reserved there. It may be noted that expensive treatment in private hospitals is a major issue that people face.

Urging people to wear face masks in public places, Jain said that there is no harm in wearing a mask inside the car also.

"Citizens should make it a rule to wear a mask whenever they step outside their home. The order copy of increasing the fine to Rs 2000 for not wearing a mask will reach everywhere today," he added while speaking to the media.

Informing about the door-to-door survey, he said: “Contact tracing is already underway on a large scale. House to house surveys would be conducted in containment zones from today to check on symptomatic patients. Government rates will be charged for 60% Covid beds reserved by Delhi government in private hospitals,” he added.
